Our Small Groups will begin again on Sunday afternoon, January 21st (5-6pm) – They are all based on the design pictured in Acts 2:42 – “And they devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and prayers.” (ESV) It is our desire that we recreate the same atmosphere of fellowship and unity that the early New Testament church practiced. Our small groups will meet in homes around the area with the primary focus of fellowship, studying God’s Word and praying together. The home setting gives an incredible opportunity to grow and develop real, loving relationships with other people. We also believe that this is a great venue to invite the unchurched; who may not feel comfortable walking into the church building but would feel at ease coming into someone’s home to study God’s word. We hope that this may become a great entry point to get many new folks involved in the life of the church. Currently all of our Small Groups will meet on Sunday evenings. To learn more about the Acts 2:42 Small Group ministry or to join a group – Please contact the church office: 334-297-4932. Also, please know that each Sunday in January there will be an insert in the bulletin to sign-up for our SSBC Small Groups which begin January 21st and run for six weeks (February 25th). This will help us to know how many people we will have in each group. Please prayerfully consider where the Lord would have you plug in. The only requirement that we ask of each participant is that they would bring a 2 liter drink and their favorite snack to share.
